Why its not about features but about adoption

September 10, 2025

The first example here is ERP software. SAP and oracle has the same features but their end users are common people who are not tech savvy and they dont care about features they care about how easy it is to use and how well it integrates with their existing system and how well the vendor supports them they do their job and get paid at the end of the month. If they hate their job the ERP system they are using will become the form of resentment and they will find every excuse to not use it. But their CEOs and Managers will blame the ERP system for their inefficiency and they will switch to another ERP system which has the same features but different UI and different integration points and different support system. So its not about features but about adoption.

Its very important to know for whom you are building your software for and who are the end users.
